Abdullrab AlmarwanyaType IV fracture: a fracture of the medial plateau is frequently associated with a fracture of the intercondylar eminence. This high-energy injury may be associated with neurovascular or other significant soft tissue injury. Definitive fixation of TypeIV (medial plateau) fractures usually requires a medial buttress plate to supplement the lag screws. Lag screws or a wire suture may be needed to anchor an intercondylar eminence fragment.
